Schedules

Okay, today I am going to talk about two types of people who frustrate me sometimes:

1) People who assume that your schedule is widely open whenever they want to do something:

Have you ever had those conversations when someone wants to do something with you and you are trying to find a date that supposedly works for both of you, and then this person finds a soon date that is open for them and gets right to saying "I'll see you then" or "I'll write it down" before they even ask you if it is open for you?

How about those last minute calls: "Hey I'm bored, will you go to a movie with me?"

"No, I'm busy, sorry.... maybe another time"

"PLEASE! I'm really bored, I want to do something!"

"WELL TOO BAD!"

I hate it when people do that!

2) People whose schedules don't fully revolve around me:

Okay, this one may sound like a joke just because it sort of contradicts the one above, but I am as serious about this as I was about the other one. When I am sitting at home all alone, bored to tears and I call someone; I want them to have something for me to do! I don't like it when people just answer the phone talk for a few seconds and then say they have to go.... that was a useless conversation.

Also, just as an example, the other day I was sitting at home, randomly browsing the internet because that is who I am, but sometimes that gets boring. So I walk outside and call my friend:

"ring ring.... ring ring.... ring ring: You have reached ***-**** we can't get to the phone right now"

"darn!"

So I call his cell:

"ring ring.... ring ring: Hi this is ****** I am in Alaska with my grandma right now, but please leave a message!"

so I think to myself: "what a jerk!"

My First Issue to Talk About

Anyone who knows me (hopefully not many of you lol) knows that I have many many issues. This is NOT going to be a blog that talks about... those kinds of issues. This will be a blog talking about the issues I have with people and technology (or for that matter, any other issues I want to talk about). And here... we.... GO:

The very first issue on this blog is going to be about Mac vs. PC (because that is what I have on my mind at the moment).

I have a few issues with this everlasting battle:

1) There is never an end to the tiny things people can come up with to try to make the other side look bad.
2) It is EVERYWHERE! If you finally get rid of it one place, it is somewhere else...
3) Everyone, on both sides are just so stubborn (including me....). People just don't seem to understand that what suits one person might not suit another. For example:

If you are going to be dealing with music, videos, or images I'd say a mac would be your preference because it can better deal with larger files, and knows its way around media (take the iPod for example).

HOWEVER: If you are going to be dealing with gaming, I'd say a PC would be the better choice. I say this for two reasons:

1) The PC's hardware is for the most part better equipped to handle the intensive graphics of the gaming world.
2) MOST games aren't compatible with Mac OS X (or some even the hardware mac uses).

I am done for the day...... I just wish people could be civil and realize that what is good for one person might just not work for the other.
